Draugurinn has been with me long before the first notes ever took shape and were recorded back in 2007-08. Like every project I immerse myself in, the music and its creation hold a specific purpose. Draugurinn fills a void that no other music or can, yet seamlessly blends into every other project and genre I’ve been involved with. Without a doubt, Draugurinn is my most personal creation. It is more than music – it is meant to be an experience, both visually (through live rites, paintings, photographs, and writings) and emotionally. Thus, the visual aspect is given as much focus as the sound.
